Dota 2 Patch 7.34d Nerfs Several Items
Balance Adjustments Ahead of The International 2023
With The International 2023 less than a week away, Dota 2 has rolled out a new patch, 7.34d, that focuses on balancing various items. Several items have been nerfed in this patch, including:
- Blade Mail: Damage bonus decreased from 20 to 18.
- Recipe cost decreased from 775 to 675.
- Total cost decreased from 2725 to 2625.
- Intelligence gain decreased from 22 to 20.
- Talent Level 25 Talent: Starbreaker Cooldown Reduction decreased from 30% to 25%.
These nerfs are aimed at making these items less powerful and more balanced in the game. Blade Mail has been a popular item for providing heroes with survivability, but the damage bonus reduction will make it less effective at dishing out damage. The cost reduction for Recipe is a slight buff, but the overall cost decrease is still a nerf as it will make the item slightly more expensive to purchase.
The nerf to Intelligence gain for Talent Level 25 Talent: Starbreaker Cooldown Reduction will make it less effective at reducing the cooldown of the Starbreaker ability. This will make it more difficult for heroes to spam the ability, which can be very powerful in team fights.
These nerfs are part of a larger effort by Valve to balance the game ahead of The International 2023. The tournament is the biggest event in Dota 2, and Valve wants to make sure that the game is as fair and competitive as possible.
